Founded in 2006, it4ip Belgium originated as a private, technology-based company developed in UCLouvain (Belgium) in the 1980s, focusing on the development, production and supply of track etched filtration membranes. it4ip uses track-etching technology to manufacture micro - and nano-sized multi-aperture etched membranes with a variety of different applications, which are used in asbestos fiber detection, blood filtration, cancer cell screening, or the synthesis of micro - and nano-bodies. It4ip track etched films are characterized by precise filtration thresholds ranging from 10nm to tens of microns, with very small thickness and special indication characteristics. With a production and conversion capacity of 150,000 square meters per year, It4ip offers a wide range of products as well as OEM solutions in rolls, sheets, plates or other forms according to customer requirements.

The principle of It4ip track etched film is to irradiate polymer films with high-energy particles to form potential tracks, which are then converted into regular pores by a specific chemical treatment. It is hydrophilic (treated with PVP) and hydrophobic (without PVP), suitable for sterilization (autoclave, EtO and gamma rays) and has good chemical resistance, biocompatibility and low protein binding

2, ipBLACK™ track etching filter membrane


ipBLACK™ Track etch film is modified from white track etch film using a proprietary dyeing process. It is characterized by low levels of autofluorescence, which reduces interference with the use of fluorescent markers in cytology, and is effective for direct observation, repeatable detection and quantification of animal cells or microorganisms.


The materials are polycarbonate (PC) and polyester (PET), aperture from 0.2um to 5.0um, standard thickness, filter membrane without background fluorescence interference, gray and PVP treatment (hydrophilic) optional, suitable for gamma ray sterilization. It has a smooth, flat surface and low non-specific absorption, ensuring the ability to trap microorganisms.



3, ipCELLCULTURE™ track etched filter membrane


ipCELLCULTUR™ cell cultures are treated with track etched membranes by a proprietary surface treatment method to promote the growth and differentiation of multiple cell lines with excellent cell adhesion. With a highly transparent pattern and a smooth glassy surface, it is suitable for application in cell culture and for viewing living cells through light microscopy.
