Founded in 2008 as a collaboration between two research groups at the University of Oviedo in Spain, MicruX uses lab-on-a-chip technology to develop and manufacture innovative solutions for microfluidic devices, electrochemical sensors and micro-analytical instruments. MicruX is proficient in microfluidic technology and electrochemical detection sensors, and has rich experience in the field of electrochemical analysis, detection and microfluidic, as well as the development, manufacturing and application of microfluidic electrophoresis chips. The company also offers a new generation of analytical equipment integrated with microfluidic technology and electrochemical devices for food, environmental, clinical and industrial applications.
Micrux product introduction
MicruX products are mainly electrochemical sensors, including screen printed electrodes and thin film metal microelectrodes, as well as microfluidic interfaces and portable analytical instruments for scientific research and industrial production.
1. Thick-film electrode/electrochemical sensor
Thick-film electrodes, also known as screen printed electrodes, can be used for electrochemical analysis in clinical, environmental and agri-food fields. Based on a three-electrode approach, one carbon working electrode, one silver reference electrode, and one carbon auxiliary electrode, the screen printed electrode is a low-cost solution for the development of electrical analysis, flow systems, nanotechnology, and biosensors. With the advantages of low cost, one-time, low reagent consumption and no cumbersome pre-cleaning, it is easier to develop low-cost disposable chemical sensors and biosensors for analysis.
2. Thin-film metal microelectrodes/electrochemical sensors
The thin-film electrode is based on the three-electrode system, its standard size is 10x6mm, the electrode material is platinum or gold, the glass substrate, the use of SU-8 resin as the protective layer, the size of the electrochemical cell is 2mm or 3.5mm, suitable for 1-10ul samples. Micrux thin film micrometal electrode has the advantages of high efficiency, high resolution, high sensitivity, low reagent consumption and reusable. Applications of Micrux thin film micrometal electrodes include electrochemical analysis, flow chemistry, nanotechnology, chemical sensors, biosensors, and are also suitable for the detection of flow systems such as FIA, HPLC, CE, etc.
Thin film technology is used to produce customized electrochemical sensors, and MicurX has extensive experience in the design and manufacture of different thin film electrodes to provide customized microelectrodes to meet different customer needs.

3. interface platform
3-1. Drop cell interface
The interface can be connected to thin film electrodes and potentiostat for batch analysis of 1-5ul samples without the need for other tools, user-friendly interface, simple and fast electrode replacement, and long service life. The USB interface can be connected to the potentiostat through a cable.
3-2. Multi-functional interface Platform (All-in-one Platform)
A multifunctional interface platform for thin film electrodes with removable attachments enables the use of thin film microelectrodes at static (droplet) or dynamic (flow pool) for multifunctional analytical applications. The electrode is easy to replace and has a long service life, with a removable add-on (PMMA or PEEK material).
Different removable accessories include:
Drop cell (base cell) is suitable for 1-10ul samples of microdroplets under standard thin film electrodes.
Batch-cell add-ons are suitable for Batch analysis at standard thin film electrodes, suitable for larger volume samples, 400ul samples.
Flow-cell add-ons are suitable for standard thin film electrode Flow liquids, such as flow injection analysis, HPLC, microfluidic, etc., with standard fluid interface ((¼-28UNF), low dead volume, high sensitivity electrochemical measurement, low sample size (20ul).
3-3. All-in-one SPE platform
The versatile SPE platform is suitable for thick film electrodes (screen printed electrodes), providing a versatile interface and removable accessories for static and dynamic use of thick film electrodes, easy to replace electrodes, and long service life.
Other electrode interface platforms include single-interface (ED-SPE-BOX) for thick film electrodes, external electrode platform (EEP), 8-channel Multi8X all-in-one platform, microfluidic chip holder.
4. Portable electrochemical station
ECStat is a small, all-in-one electrochemical workstation that integrates a dual potentiostat and built-in impedance analyzer into a compact portable device, including more than 25 electrical analysis techniques for voltamere, amperage, potential and impedance spectroscopy analysis. Compatible with electrochemical platforms, thin film electrodes and thick film electrodes.
