About  ILS   -Glass Syringes for Liquid Handling Instrumentation and Syringe Pumps

ILS is located in Stuetzerbach, a small village in the Thuringian Forest in central Germany. Even though small in size, Stuetzerbach has made a name for itself all over the world and has quite a history in glass manufacturing.

ILS was founded in 1992, benefiting from skills and expertise of people in the area. Today we manufacture more than 1000 types and variations of syringes. Our syringes range from 0,5 μL to 100 mL for precision sampling and dosage in chromatography, spectroscopy, preparation of standard solutions, manual application and for use in autosamplers, diluters, dispensers and other liquid handling instruments.

Precision diluter valves are also available as a recent addition to the production range.

ILS shrinks its own precision bore tubing from 3.3 borosilicate glass, highly resistant material. Also all metal parts and PTFE-seals are made in-house. State-of-the-art computer-controlled equipment such as milling machines, lathes and glass shrinking machines and years of glass working experience guarantee the best quality in products.

ILS is a premier syringe manufacturer offering more than 1000 types and variations of glass syringes. We provide standard and customized syringe designs for OEM instrumentation and various liquid handling applications. 

Our focus is on two types of glass syringes - syringes for use in syringe pumps and syringes for analytical instruments and applications.

1. syringe for syringe pump

ILS provides a broad range of the highest quality of micro syringes made from borosilicate glass manufactured in Germany.

Our premium micro syringes are compatible with devices from Hamilton®, Abbott®, Tecan®, Beckmann Coulter®, Roche® and other leading manufacturers. They are used in HPLC and GC autosamplers, diluters, dispensers, syringe pumps and other liquid handling instruments.

2. Analytical syringe 

In addition to dispensing syringes that are used in syringe pumps, we also offer syringes for analytical instrumentation.

ILS analytical syringes are made of Borosilicate 3.3 glass and are suitable for the dosage of liquids and gas. Our syringes are mainly used for sample dosage in chromatography (GC), HPLC, auto samplers and dosage of aggressive fluids.

The high chemical resistance of the syringe makes it perfect for heavy-duty applications. The syringe is manufactured from high-quality borosilicate glass that is heat and shock resistant, which ultimately protects against breakage from shock and sudden or extreme fluctuations in temperature. This type of ultra-low expansion glass endows the syringe with maximum chemical resistance, outstanding degree of calibration and superior precision.
